Cosa vuol dire neurodivergenti?

Neurodivergence is when a person's brain processes, learns and behaves differently from the one considered "typical".
Once considered a problem or an anomaly, today, researchers say neurodivergence can also have many advantages.

This is not a disability; is a difference in the brain's functioning. With this change, the operators do not handle most neurodiverse as a disease. On the contrary, consider how different ways of learning and processing information.

How to know if you neurodivergent

In the previous article, we described the various types of neurodivergence. Please read it here.

If you have been diagnosed with one of the conditions described above, you are considered neurodivergent. On the other hand, if you have never received a formal diagnosis but are strongly attuned to the descriptors of one or more types of neurodivergence, you can contact a professional to find out with certainty.
Although neurodivergence is common, many people do not realize to be up to adulthood. This can create challenges, as people find a way to adapt to the differences in how people think and process information, but it can also be helpful.

For many adults, finding out you have ADHD, autism, or another form of neurodivergence often helps explain things they did not understand.

If you have never been diagnosed with any of the described terms and have never had the feeling of having symptoms, you are likely neurotypical.

If there has never been diagnosed with any of the terms described, and not have you ever had the feeling of having symptoms, it is likely that you neurotipici.

You can become neurodivergent?

Many forms of neurodivergence are an inherent part of the development and functioning of the brain. Even though these differences may not be recognized or diagnosed during childhood, this does not mean they are not present and have appeared suddenly in adulthood.
Also, neurological conditions, acquired, such as traumatic brain injury, stroke, and Alzheimer's disease, can lead to neurodivergence.

The future of the neurodiversity

The defense of the acceptance of the neurodiversità began with autism but has grown to include different types of neurodivergence. The defense of the acceptance of the neurodiversità began with autism, but has grown to include different types of neurodivergenza.

The more we accept and understand that it is pretty standard that brains work differently, the more quickly we can accommodate people in the ways most suitable for them to learn, work and thrive in society.
